Celebrate the good days, always
Yesterday was a good day. Found out some information on something I'm not talking about, but really excited about.
Got to eat dinner at a restaurant that has SUCH good food. (Spent way too much on it, not a great idea, but we're not going to discuss that just now.) They have a sandwich with cranberry sauce, turkey, and cream cheese that is amaaaaazing. I've never actually gotten anything else there because why bother.. We got pie to take home, too, because we were too full to eat it... but their pie is too good to resist.
Then we took some stuff to storage, and someone had left gobs of books in the giveaway area. I spent some time going through some of them, and came away with several before I ran out of energy. I got a couple of writing books, one by the Dalai Lama... hmm. Now I can't remember what else. Pretty happy about it, though.
We also got my wheelchair out of storage, and I was so happy to see it! It's been in there for a bit because the tires won't hold air and we just haven't gotten them fixed, and it was just riding around in the car taking up space. Spouse finally just dropped it off at storage because it was annoying them. Tomorrow, though, we're picking up some new tires from Craigslist that hopefully will suit. Fingers crossed.
The weather's been pleasant, too. I like a lot of different kinds of weather, but it's been nice to have a little break from the rain, of which there's been a lot lately.
Things have been feeling really heavy and difficult lately. I'm so glad to have had a good day. It's nice just to know that I can have a good day. To know that my baseline hasn't just been completely reset to "lousy".
Here's to more good days, good moments, good anythings.
